I am loving MercyMe's new song, Move. Check out their music video, some of it is so funny. They even threw in Mr. Bean dancing. A great song and a great video.

Craft Idea

The advent calendar is designed to inspire and motivate. The ‘heart’ of this calendar is the daily story. Some days the story may be very inspirational to your kids (whatever their age), other days the message may ring home for you; the parent or guardian. The point is, it will get you talking, and talking about subjects that probably don’t come up in normal, everyday conversations. It will give you a reason to stop the crazy bustle of the season and reflect. Reflect on those things that REALLY matter. Hopefully it will inspire your family to focus on those things that matter more often, and in a more proactive manner. We can’t promise this advent calendar will change the world, but we do hope it helps to change YOUR world.

Recipe

The advent calendar is a great way to count down to Christmas. Each day you open a tab that has a a code that you type into the Growing Great Families website. Then it brings up a page that has a story of the day, a coloring activity, a video game, a mind game, a joke of the day, a Christmas craft idea, a charity of the day, a featured recipe, tips for simplifying Christmas, a little bit of Christmas, and a Christmas song. My family and I really enjoyed going through each day. We had some much fun playing the games, singing the songs, reading the stories, ect. Our favorite day was Dec. 11th. On that day their was a recipe for a Christmas Berry Trifle(pictured above), the craft idea was for a Christmas tree table top decoration and the song was "It's the most wonderful time of the year". On another day we were lead to a site that had an integrative Christmas story, my son loved hearing his name in the story. I highly recommend this advent calendar, I give it 5 stars out 5.
